Helping afro-latin dancers go from feeling disconnected to full expression through uncovering their intuition #salsa #bachata #kizomba #tarraxo #heels
Dawn helps latin partner dancers reconnect with their body and intuition through dance, movement and creative expression. She's spent five years teaching across hip-hop, heels, salsa, bachata and kizomba, weaving improvisation, somatics and authentic movement in alongside the technique, not instead of it. Because a body that trusts itself moves with more playfulness, and leads and follows differently than a body that's just trying to get it right.
She also advocates for role rotation because enjoyment on the floor shouldn't depend on finding the right partner. When you're free to move in either role, you stop waiting for someone else's lead to feel something, and start creating that connection yourself.
Where most classes teach the next move, Dawn teaches her people to come home to themselves first. It starts with safety in their own body, grows into real presence with a partner, and ripples out into a dance floor where people show up as themselves and find each other, not just the steps.
