Workshop Kintsugi

About this event

English

A creative workshop where slowing down, attention and the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi come together.

During this workshop, you’ll give a ceramic bowl a new life using gold adhesive. Inspired by Wabi-Sabi, we don’t hide the break. Instead, we make it visible and turn it into part of something new.

After a short introduction, you’ll get hands-on. Using a small hammer, you’ll break your bowl and then gradually bring the pieces back together with gold adhesive. You’ll receive guidance where needed, while having plenty of space to follow your own creative process.

No experience needed. Just a little courage, attention and a willingness to create something beautiful.

A quiet moment to work with your hands, step away from your thoughts and go home with a unique object full of character.
