Masterclass From Patterns to Stories (afternoon)

About this event

€80 incl. btw

Been playing handpan for a while and ready to go beyond the patterns you know? On Saturday 14 November, Swiss handpan player and composer Bruno Ferreira teaches a masterclass at our studio. Bruno has a background in jazz, percussion, piano and composition. When he discovered the handpan in 2021, he brought all of that experience together in a playing style of his own, where rhythm, melody and harmony meet. In this masterclass, he helps you discover the handpan as a complete instrument.

What you'll work on:
* expanding your rhythmic, melodic and harmonic vocabulary
* hand independence, for more fluidity and freedom in your playing
* improvisation and composition, so you can create your own melodies and musical stories
* turning ideas and feelings into music that's truly yours
* personal tips from Bruno for your playing

Who is it for? You've got the basics down, usually after around 3 to 6 months of playing. Not sure if it fits your level? Feel free to send us a message.

Practical: 10:00 to 13:00 or 14:00 to 17:00 (both sessions are identical, choose one) · max. 14 participants · we play on D Kurd, no instrument of your own? You can borrow one of ours · taught in English ·
