WINTER COCOON - A Winter Solstice Cacao & Sound Ritual

About this event

WINTER COCOON

A Winter Solstice Cacao & Sound Ritual

There are moments in the turning of the year when we are invited to pause.

The Winter Solstice is one of them.

As the days reach their shortest and the nights grow long, the natural world turns inward, inviting us to slow down, gather warmth and listen to a quieter rhythm.

This evening at Mahara is an invitation to honour that stillness, to pause before the light begins its gradual return, and to create space for nourishment, connection and inner listening.

We will gather in the warmth of the yurt for an intimate winter ceremony, combining cacao, sensory alchemy, reflection and sound.

We begin by exploring the meaning of the Winter Solstice and the changing rhythm of the season, before sharing cacao as a moment of arrival, warmth and connection.

You will then be invited into a gentle ritual of sensory alchemy, exploring the art of self-care.

A moment to reconnect with the body through mindful touch, to soften, and to receive the simple nourishment of caring for yourself.

From there, the evening moves into a deeply immersive sound journey, allowing vibration, resonance and silence to carry you away from the noise of the outside world and into a quieter inner space.

We will close with time for stillness, integration, herbal tea and nourishing bites.

A moment to pause at the threshold of winter.
To honour the quiet of the longest night.
To turn inward.
And to welcome the gradual return of the light.
