The Slow Start ...

About this event

The Slow Start is a 2-hour and 15-minute movement workshop where we explore what changes when we slow down.

As a Somatic Sex and Intimacy Coach, I spend a lot of time thinking about the way we meet ourselves and each other.

We're busy with work, friends, supermarket runs, and maybe some unsuccessful dates here and there.

This same rhythm can also shape the way we move through the day.

Maybe you've noticed...

‣ the conversations at work follow the same holiday script.
‣ a catch-up with friends almost seems to happen by itself.
‣ "I'm good, and you?" comes out before you've checked in with how you actually are.

I get it. I still find myself there too.

And that's what made me want to create an evening like this.

In this workshop, we'll have a space to slow things down... together.

Through music, movement, and simple guided experiences, we'll give ourselves a little more time to notice what happens.

- A workshop for single & solo participants.
- Guided movement and simple connection exercises.
- No dance experience needed.
- No physical touch with other participants.
- You're always welcome to participate at your own pace.

Arrival & Grounding
We begin by arriving and settling into the space.

Individual Slow Dance
A guided freestyle movement experience with music.

Awareness in Connection
We explore noticing ourselves while acknowledging the presence of others through a simple, non-touch exercise.

Integration & Closing
We take time to integrate what has surfaced before gently closing the session.
