AFRO STREETSTYLES & TRADITIONAL
- FOUNDATIONS ( afro dance steps: foundations & knowledge
I will teach the steps + foundations I've learned ( from the source itself )
- FREE FLOW (musicality, PLAYING, different exercises to explore and.. CONNECTION with each other)
- CHOREO (from the steps we've learned --> afro streetstyles)
Most important: IT'S ALL ABOUT ENJOYMENT AND ENERGY! Be who you are. Enjoy the music, your body and the connection with the other.
Feeling free with your body every week a little bit more! While dancing on the different styles of African music (Afrobeats and traditional music. No live percussion)

What do you learn?
* Explore different kind of styles of African Dance (street dances and traditional dance steps )
* Learn Afro dance moves and traditional dance moves (djembe dance)
* Building confidence

Program
1: Making connection with eachother, with the music, the FEELING and so also with the dance steps.
2: Sharing the same love for Afro/African dances and ENJOY to DANCEEEE (again?)
>>> You will learn afro dance steps (afro dance steps on Afro Beats (urban/modern)).
>learn the foundations of azonto steps
>learn the foundations of other steps from other afro dance styles.
-We will do an AfroDance (fusion) choreography working on the same for a few weeks to get fully into it.
-Traditional African dance steps
>Steps/foundations (djembe dancesteps from West - Africa, mostly Guinea)
>Choreography
- Last but not least: FREE FLOW
Last course I found that this is still a very important aspect of my classes and dancing together. So it will be a mix with "steps / choreography" and free flow.
How? Free flow exercises and you will learn to get comfortable and how to embody and play with the moves, so you can implement them in your freestyle.

Why am I doing it this way?
I'm so passionate to teach and to share the beauty of a the African dance and music culture. Also the beauty of dancing together (with all mixed levels and ages) and the beauty of being in a group... If we are in a fixed group and dive into it together for 8 weeks we can make so much progress, enjoyment, get to know each other and yourself, we can go into the depth and GROW AND ENJOY THE FULLEST. I've done it now multiple courses and I loveee this way and the progress everyone is making, so i'm down and ready to go for more. I'd also liked the sessions outside on the grass. Looking forward again.
If you have done a course already: You will keep learning, make progress on so many levels and train embodiment. So keep joining! Forever learning.

139 euro >that's 17,38 euro per class, if you had 1 h class that would be 11,50 per hour.
