SPIRAL SEED RETREAT
Module 1: Identifying the Ego
The ‘Spiral Seed’ originated in Colombia; its roots lie in the millennia-old traditions of the indigenous peoples of the Sierra Nevada, the Koguis, the Great Guardians of the Earth. The founder of this school is our grandfather “Jate Boune Daza Kulchavita”, an anthropologist; the “Jate” (meaning ‘spiritual father’ in the Kogui language) has the unique advantage of knowing both worlds: that of ‘civilisation’, as it is called, and the Ancestral world, that of the millennia-old culture.
As the spiritual leader of the Mhuyskas, a tribe that once lived in the Bagata region (Bogotá), he opens the door for humanity to Ancient knowledge through this school, helping us rediscover the path to the culture of the human seed that we have lost. He thus invites us to rediscover the ancestral ways of living on the planet in harmony with the laws that were bestowed upon each territory from the very beginning.
Pedro Candeias, born in Portugal, grew up in the mountains of the Alps. He has been studying for 10 years with Grandfather Kulchavita; he has also trained in permaculture and geobiology, and has studied in the Amazon, the Andes, and on the paths of the Red Voice and White Voice. As the founder of the ‘San Yerbas’ Community in the Catalan Pyrenees, he is dedicated to caring for his territory and restoring the local natural order.
With the support of members of their community, they will share with you ancestral social technologies that enable us to understand how we can develop as human beings to contribute to the care of our lands and Mother Earth.
This is the first time this teaching is brought to The Netherlands, spanning four days and three nights. Attending this module serves as an initiation into the ‘Spiral Seed’ as well as the ‘mambeadero’ (ritual of speech). Following modules are currently offered in France, Spain and Colombia.
Module 2 contain transformative teachings around Being a Couple and Module 3 concerns Living in Community.
What we will be doing during the retreat:
Strengthening a unified way of thinking focused on habits that foster harmonious relationships and meaningful existential experiences, by identifying the patterns of thought and separation that disrupt our inner peace and our relationships, and lead us into states of constant and ongoing conflict: the ego.
We will examine and identify these patterns during the mambeadero, the ritual of the Word.
In the ‘Mambeadero’, the mambe, with its feminine energy, helps us to soften our words. Ambil (a paste-like form of tobacco) provides us with the clear and concrete words of masculine energy. In this way, we create a space where our words are ‘gently firm and firmly gentle’, and we enter a circle where each person’s presence and the art of communication enable us to uncover an issue that is important for the group to resolve through the inner wisdom of its participants.
What people have said to experience:
• Brings about moments of realisation.
• Promotes self-awareness and an appreciation of the potential to learn through one’s own experiences and those of others.
• Teaches effective communication techniques.
• Fosters a strong connection between the mind, speech and the heart (speaking from the mind)
• Creates the opportunity to be present; to be in the here and now, and to contribute to a conscious approach to daily activities.
The location is in the middle of the woods and heathlands of the Veluwe, near Epe. We will stay warm and cozy in a converted sheepsbarn among trees, birdsong and a place for camp fire. We will cook together and live in community, brining to practice the teachings during the day and integrating what we learn during the evenings with the 'mambeadero'.
Arrival on Monday from 11am --- Departure on Thursday 17:00
We ask for a contribution of €250 for the three days plus ingredients to cook our meals together.
These teachings are passed on to us for the purpose of advancing humanity, as 'Children of the Dawn' and therefore we are not asking for more than needed to cover cost and some effort.
Accomodation included is hostal style in the sheepsbarn or in your own tent or campervan.
You are welcome to find and arrange for a BnB or other accomodation close to our 'base camp'.
It is encouraged to come with a friend as this helps to integrate the teachings afterwards. You will be joining a vibrant community of Spiral Seed practicioners spanning Latin America (predominantly Colombia) and Europe (mainly France, Spain, Switzerland and Belgium).
