About this event
An evening of embodied listening, reflection and shared inquiry into our relationship with time.
There is the time measured by clocks and calendars.
And there is another experience of time — the time carried within the body, within memory, within the seasons and within the lives we are living.
Many of us move through our days surrounded by schedules, responsibilities, information and expectations. We may find ourselves thinking about what has already happened or preparing for what may come next, while the moment we are living passes almost unnoticed.
During this evening, we will slow down and explore our relationship with time.
Not to escape ordinary life, but to listen more closely to how time is experienced within us.
What happens when the rhythm of the outer world no longer corresponds with our inner rhythm?
What do we carry from the past?
What are we continually preparing for?
And what becomes possible when we allow ourselves to arrive more fully in the present?
This will be an evening of embodied practice, guided reflection, deep listening and shared inquiry.
There is nothing you need to achieve and no particular experience you are expected to have. We will meet from different places and with different life experiences. These differences are part of what makes the gathering alive and unique.
THE TIME OF THE BODY
The body does not always move according to the time kept by a clock.
It carries memory, transition, longing and change. It may need more time than the mind believes it should. It may recognise something before we have found words for it.
When we slow down enough to listen, we may begin to notice the difference between pressure and readiness, between urgency and movement, and between waiting and being still.
During the evening, we will explore time not only as an idea, but as something we experience through the body.
THE TIME OF NATURE
Nature does not move at one constant speed.
There are times of growth and times of rest. Times of opening, gathering, releasing and beginning again.
Nothing in nature is continually becoming more.
The seasons remind us that life unfolds through rhythms and cycles. They invite us to consider whether we can meet our own lives with the same attention.
This evening offers a space to pause within the movement of life and listen for the rhythm that is present now.
THE EVENING MAY INCLUDE
• Grounding and embodied awareness
• Guided inner reflection
• Quiet individual exploration
• Deep listening
• Shared conversation and inquiry
• Space for integration
The precise shape of the evening will emerge through the people present and what the gathering asks of us.
You are welcome to participate in the way that feels appropriate for you. There is no requirement to share personal experiences with the group.
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring:
• A water bottle
• Warm, soft and comfortable clothing
• Warm socks or something comfortable for your feet
• A scarf or eye covering
• A notebook and pen, if you wish
Most importantly, come as you are, with a willingness to meet the evening and listen to what is present.
ABOUT THE LIVING BRIDGE OF WISDOM
The Living Bridge of Wisdom creates spaces where ancestral understanding, embodied knowledge, lived experience and contemporary life can meet.
Its work is rooted in relationship — with ourselves, with one another, with the living Earth and with the wider web of life.
Rather than offering fixed answers, The Living Bridge of Wisdom invites listening, reflection and inquiry. It recognises that wisdom is not held by one person alone, but can emerge through presence, relationship and the willingness to meet across our differences.
ABOUT HELENE LINDMARK
FOUNDER AND FACILITATOR
Helene Lindmark is the founder of The Living Bridge of Wisdom.
Born in Liikavaara in Sápmi, northern Sweden, she comes from a northern family shaped by Sámi, Finnish and Swedish roots. Her life and work have been formed through relationship with nature, ancestral inheritance, many years of professional experience and encounters across cultures and traditions.
Her background includes social services, psychiatric care and trauma-informed work. Today, she works internationally as a wisdom keeper, speaker, space holder and bridge-builder.
Helene does not enter the circle as a teacher standing above others. She comes as an invited elder — holding the ground, listening deeply and accompanying people as they explore their own inner landscape.
ABOUT ANNICK COOLS
ASSISTANT AND TRUSTED SUPPORT
Annick Cools has worked closely with Helene for five years as her assistant and trusted support.
She holds many of the practical and organisational threads before, during and after gatherings, creating the continuity and stable ground that allow Helene to remain fully present with the people and the process.
Her role is quiet but essential. She supports communication, practical arrangements and the care of the space, helping the evening unfold with steadiness, warmth and attention.

A WELCOMING NOTE
You do not need previous experience of meditation, embodied practice or group work.
You are welcome exactly as you are.
We will meet from different places, carrying different stories and different relationships with time. For a few hours, we will create a shared space in which we can slow down, listen and explore what time means within the lives we are actually living.
Perhaps time is not only something passing around us.
Perhaps it is also something asking to be met differently.
