About Rapé & Sananga
Rapé is a sacred Amazonian snuff prepared from native tobacco (Nicotiana rustica) and the ashes of medicinal plants. Within the Huni Kuin tradition it is received with prayer and intention to help quiet the mind, deepen presence, strengthen prayer and create a sense of grounding and inner clarity.
Sananga is a traditional eye medicine prepared from forest plants. Although the application can be intense for a few moments, it is traditionally used to support physical and energetic cleansing, sharpen perception and cultivate inner clarity and focus. For the Huni Kuin, it is also a medicine of the hunter, helping one see with greater attention—both outwardly and inwardly.
Important:
Rapé and Sananga are traditional Indigenous medicines and are not suitable for everyone.
