Steppin' presents: Another Taste (Live at Hidden Gem Studio)

About this event

In collaboration with Amarte Funds, Steppin’ Into Tomorrow is continuing the series of intimate live performances in a fresh new space, Hidden Gem Studio in Amsterdam. Next up: Another Taste.

Is it boogie? Is it 70’s funk? Obscure disco? Or an ode to Burgess? It’s neither and it’s all.
These flavors collide, merge, and what oozes out of the speakers is exactly what the groove
doctors prescribed: Another Taste. Netherlands' own eclectic collective built its sound in the home studio of Danilo Plessow (MCDE). Experimenting only with tape and analogue equipment to find beauty in the
imperfection. One of those takes dripped itself into the ether and many ears around the world. They went
viral before the first vinyl.
Another Taste’s live sets hit like family reunions with joy loud enough to shake the room, tenderness still present underneath. That same electricity carries into the studio where the tracks echo a crowd refusing to stand still. If their debut record in 2023 was a showcase of their range, Another Taste II (2026) is the full immersion with sharper songwriting, denser arrangements, and hidden narratives for those who listen closely.

Steppin' Into Tomorrow is the musical doorway for contemporary music with an ear for today's sound. A platform and a community that provides in-depth articles, interviews, radio shows, and events to introduce you to the finest rising talent from Dutch soil and beyond.
Hidden Gem Studio was founded in 2022 with the philosophy to create a space within the city where artists can create, record and perform their unique experiences in a homelike and timeless environment.
